Public Relations

Although some of the items reviewed on A Girl's Gotta Spa! ® are purchased, we accept products for review from brands and public relations representatives. Receipt of a product does not constitute a contract for a published review of the product. While this site attempts to accept only products of interest in hopes of lessening negative reviews, we do not guarantee a favorable review. Reviews are done based on honest assessments of the products and content is not pre-approved by PR representatives or brands (nor are they changed if said rep. or brand is unhappy with the review.) Products that wish to impose such limitations will not be accepted for review. Editorial time line is currently 4-8 weeks from receipt of a product. Beginning in December 2009, all items received from brands and PR representatives are disclosed as such either by using the words "was sent to me" or with a "Disclosure" label and link at the bottom of the post linking back to this page.

Advertorial Posts

A Girl's Gotta Spa! ® currently carefully considers advertorial or sponsored posts and are decided upon on a case by case basis. All advertorial posts that recommend a product or store will have "Disclosure" clearly labeled at the bottom with a link back to this disclosure page. Sponsored posts may include an advertisement, but have no affect on the content. E.g. the content is not recommending the product, store, or item in the advertisement. Such posts will labeled as sponsored/advertorial.

Affiliate Links, Advertising, Existing Relationships

A Girl's Gotta Spa! ® makes use of affiliate links in reviews and blog posts at all times. If there is no known affiliate for a brand being reviewed, only then will a direct link to the brand be used. If a brand pitching their product for review specifically requests that a link to their website be placed in the post, this is considered advertising and that brand will be charged a fee. A commission is earned when a product is purchased using such a link if a reader makes a purchase. Sales go to help support this site financially, as well as pay contributors. We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
